After we launched, some of the best criticism of Assignment Zero came from the Newsvine community.
Thank you. It lite a fire under our proverbial butts.
That's criticism was probably because you all were the most experienced with collaborating online, you were already organized and had high standards.
I'm not sure if you all have become aware, but we've responded to those criticisms.
Every topic has a team home page. You can join the team, start a discussion on that page, converse with your editor easily and really shape the story.
All you have to do is go to your topic (you can find them from the NEW assignment desk: http://zero.newassignment.net/desk/overview )
And click "join the team" on the left. Once you join, that link will be saved in your profile page (so you can get back to it easily) and your name and picture will be added to the team page on the left.
We are trying to gauge how many people from the Newsvine community are still engaged. I know the crowdsourced novels topic is taking off.
And we have plans coming up to further refine and sharpen the user experience and more importantly, the story.
Newsvine was a real leader in the beginning. I'm hoping you all will join teams be leaders again.
